Sound Prelim Task

For this task we were given a movie clip without sound, we were then expected to make our own foleys or sound effects, we created them using everyday objects, and once we had done that we then returned back to the editing using garageband.

this was the format we used to create the sound task. we used sounds that were also built in to the garage band archive, and added in all the necessary sounds, edited everything that we needed and we then had a final piece.

We decided to do two different fully edited pieces as two of our team already had editing experience, and two of us didn’t have as much. Using the same clips and storyline we divided into two and edited a piece each. Although we stuck to the story board we both created individual pieces.
Both pairs used final cut pro to edit their piece.

180 Degree and shot reverse shot Example

We maintained the 180 degree rule throughout the film by remaining on the left of the dinosaur and the right of the other 2 characters

This is also the example of our shot reverse shot

Here Is a Diagram of our set up:

Macth on Action In Our Film

In our film we used the gun in the holster as the focal point for the match on action.

We first use it in shot when Ben looks down at it then you can see him reach for it,

it then cuts to an close up of the holster and Bens hand come in to shot and grab it,

then as he brings it back up it returns to the previous shot distance and he brings the gun into shot.

Finishing the match on action.
