For our thriller opening we have decided to use no dialogue except for the news broadcast that can be heard during the breakfast scene.

Script Draft 1:
John (Weather man):Bzzzzt....and a sunny throughout the week, back to you steven.

Steven (Anchor): Thank you John. In recent news a group of animal rights activists discovered that a local store was selling horse meat instead of beef in their burgers. Andy Hampsand, a member of these activists, was none too pleased.

Lucy (Co-Anchor): The young girl who was reported missing a week ago is still nowhere to be found. Detectives have yet to find any hard evidence except for the symbol that is always at the scene. The symbol of a Ko.....Bzzt.......

At this point the subject eating breakfast turns off the TV and leaves the kitchen.

Rachael the Weatherman: …in the south east of England, back to you Jeremy.
